Bibliography
In composing a research paper or a simple 5 paragraph essay you use outside sources all of which have to be recorded accordingly to a required standard. The list of all your sources is called bibliography and is presented in the end on your essay on a separate piece of paper. In order to properly record all of your sources you need to follow the rules of a certain format given to you by your professor. There are various formats you can use but a number of rules apply to all of them.
1) Record all last names of authors (or titles of the source) in alphabetical order.
2) Make a list of ALL sources you have used in your paper, do not miss those which served as an idea generator or were quickly looked at.
3) Every detail identifying validity of your source has to be included in your bibliography. The year of publication, name of the publishing house, pages from which info was taken- everything should be recognized.
4) Separate each source so that it could be easily read and examined.
It is strongly advised that you include only those sources that you have actually used and have proof of their existence. In case you need to provide evidence of validity of your information you will be able to simply present all relevant sources.
You can refer to different writing bibliography/citation formats in this section: Types of Modern Styles.
