Conclusion and its Purpose

   The main task of the concluding paragraph is to sum up all the major ideas presented in the body of the essay therefore leading the reader to believe that your writing is reliable and legit overall. In your conclusion you should go over the biggest points made in your paper, providing your comments on them. You should do using words and phrases different from those used in the body part. Only in case your essay has been correctly built providing support and evidence to your statements, your conclusion will have a strong effect.

   Your summary or conclusion can perform a few functions. It will make a reader think and compose their own opinion as to what you have discussed in your essay. Your essay should direct the reader in the general trend of your point of view. It can also show your intended audience what practical knowledge they have gained after reading your essay. It will give them a sense of pride for learning something new. Your concluding paragraph could be a surprise providing some sort of new and unexpected information. This method will make the reader want to read your essay to the very end and may be reread in order to better comprehend all of the stated above. Such emotional ending is usually the best way to impress the reader and keep him/her thinking about your essay afterwards.

   However, prior to construction a concluding paragraph you should critically read over your essay asking yourself whether it is convincing enough to you as a reader. Only after a positive answer to you should proceed to summarizing your ideas and proving them to be right.
